Dry Ice Bombs

...are illegal in California.

Just so you know.

We did 3 before we found this out, luckily we didn't get in trouble. That last one that shook the house and rattled the dishes in my cabinet, really was already made before I found out they were illegal...really.

I thought for sure someone was going to jail.

"In the name of home school! Please don't arrest us!" That was going to be my plea...Amanda (my dear friend) would have handled it with much more grace and dignity, while Aaron (her husband who purchased said dry ice bomb paraphernalia) would have been laughing hysterically.

Did I mention that when they went to the grocery store to get the goods that Caeden told the cashier, "We are going to make a bomb!"

What 7 year old wouldn't get excited about that?

"No Caeden, we are doing chemistry."

Despite the legalities and the neighbors wondering why that sound keeps getting closer and louder (Aaron just kept walking when he heard this...and laughing) it was really cool...and loud.

Sounds like fun.

What kid (and Mom) wouldn't get excited about a chemistry lesson like that!
